History
This is the only car I have ever worked on as a restoration project. Although a friend of mine was the brains behind the restoration, I learned a lot about powertrains, performance enhancements, and I cleaned a heck of a lot of parts along the way. The car isn't perfect, but a clean, nice looking example of a rare "street" AMX.
Upgrades
Body: 1969 SuperStock hood scoop, Donohue "ducktail" spoiler, power antenna. Engine: MSD Ignition, dual 600 CFM Edelbrock carbs, Offenhauser Intake, Hooker Headers.

History
Built by Chrysler at the old Dodge Main Assembly Plant in Hamtramck, Mich., and sold new at Pointe Dodge on Mack Avenue in Detroit, this car has remained in Michigan since it first rolled off the assembly line on Nov. 20, 1968.
Upgrades
Charger 500s were specially built to qualify the uniquely modified Charger aerodynamics for high-speed NASCAR racing. A highly modified roofline, backlight, and trunk lid panel were designed to create a fastback body style. A specially fitted flush front grille and aerodynamic A-pillar covers were also installed to reduce drag and lift. Five hundred of these Chargers were required to be built for NASCAR racing; Chrysler historical production numbers reported only 392 were actually built. Only 26 of these were equipped with the 440 Magnum® engine along with a 4-speed manual transmission. This car also features the rare Super Track Pak option which included a Dana 60 Sure Grip 4.10:1 rear axle, high-performance cooling system, dual breaker distributor, and power disc brakes.

Transmission: Torqueflight 3sp auto
Horsepower: 375
Torque: 480 ft-lbs
History
Purchased by my brother-in-law when I was 18-years-old after a road trip, the car has been a cornerstone of my lifelong obsession with the vehicles and history of Chrysler Corporation. The Daytona and Superbird were the ultimate expressions of the supercar era. These cars cemented aerodynamics as a key component in vehicle performance and efficiency. Fittingly, while one man was setting foot on the moon, another was streaking around Chelsea Proving Grounds in the first road car to exceed 200 mph. As one road test stated, it is "The Thing of Shapes to Come."
Upgrades
Restored to factory specs in 1979 and is a one-year limited production body for homologation in NASCAR racing, when stock cars were built from real cars. Wind tunnel proven aerodynamic modifications equivalent to 80-plus hp and produced dynamic stability at 200-plus mph. Unique body parts created a 70 percent reduction in drag and added down force and yaw stability in triple digit speed range.

Displacement: 340
Transmission: 4-Speed Manual
Horsepower: N/A
Torque: N/A
History
This vehicle was the first new car purchased by my oldest brother at age 20. The car was special ordered from Dameron Chrysler Plymouth in Farmington, Mich. and has been preserved as a true survivor, with only 22,700 miles. The car has never been damaged and remains in completely unmodified condition (excepting aftermarket road wheels installed in 1973). The car draws significant attention from serious car collectors. Although it almost never gets out because of fear of accidental damage, it deserves to be seen due to its time-capsule like nature.
Upgrades
Every factory option on the car except A/C.

"The Mopar '11 Charger takes the 'head- turning' factor up a few notches," said Pietro Gorlier, President and CEO of Mopar, Chrysler Group's service, parts and customer-care brand.
"By adding some of the most distinctive accessories to an already strong performer, we've created a special-edition car for enthusiasts."
Powered by the legendary 5.7-liter HEMI® with 370 horsepower and 395 lb.-ft. of torque, the specially equipped Charger includes the "Super Trac Pac" option that pushes the
capabilities of the Mopar Charger in acceleration, handling and braking.
The Mopar '10 Dodge Challenger R/T package comes jam-packed with the authentic performance of Mopar. The Mopar '10 Dodge Challenger R/T is built with a Mopar Cold Air Intake System, which picks up air directed from the performance hood scoop through a new Mopar hood venting system. Handling is improved by the addition of Mopar's front and rear strut tower braces. Add in a fully-functional T/A style hood with vintage Mopar hood pins, and its 20" forged black finished wheels, and suddenly you're sitting behind the wheel of a speed demon.
The new race-only V-10 powered rear-wheel drive 2011 Mopar Challenger V10 Drag Pak features an 8.4-liter 512 cubic-inch engine with a 2-speed automatic transmission. The first and only 500-plus cubic-inch V-10 drag-race package car that sports a 2-speed automatic transmission with shift assembly and built-in roll control. The Drag Pak was built for sanctioned NHRA Stock and Super Stock configurations.
The Jeep Wrangler JK-8 Independence takes cues from the popular Jeep Scrambler CJ-8 from the 1980s and was designed as a kit for do-it-yourselfers to convert a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited into a pickup truck. The bed length is 50 inches and the width between wheel wells is 44 inches. The team created body panels to cover the second-row entrance and removed all of the interior parts behind the front seats—transforming the vehicle into a two-seater with just enough room for gear inside, and a pickup style bed to be used for outside cargo.
"This is a purpose-built vehicle with collaborative parts from Magneti Marelli and Mopar," said Dino Maggioni, CEO of Magneti Marelli Aftermarket. "We selected Magneti Marelli and Mopar parts, adapted them to the Dodge Avenger and made them unique. The result is a fascinating blend of these two iconic brands."
Starting with a stock 2011 Dodge Avenger Heat, Mopar and Magneti Marelli engineers transformed the vehicle into a race-inspired vehicle equipped to handle the most challenging rally courses, while reducing the weight of the vehicle by nearly 200 pounds.
Inspired by the King of the Hammers race in the deserts of California and brought to life in a build spearheaded by Mopar engineer Tony Carvallo, Blue Crush combines high-speed off-road racing and rock-crawling capability. Its core is a Mopar 426 cubic-inch HEMI® with 540 horsepower. The all-aluminum V-8 is paired with a 545RFE performance transmission and a gear-drive transfer case.
