Upon graduation from the Mopar® Career Automotive Program (MCAP), students generally continue on with their career as an employee at a Chrysler, Jeep®, Dodge, Ram or FIAT® dealer. With all of the training and hands-on experience received as a MCAP student, you can quickly and easily transition from student to full-time employee.

What are dealers looking for?

Career opportunities within the automotive service industry are numerous. And with continuous changes within the industry and to vehicles being produced, most positions require advanced technical training and computer literacy. Your MCAP curriculum will have you prepared for the job, but typically successful candidates in today’s automotive service industry must have:

  • Strong computer, business and math skills
  • Thorough knowledge of automotive systems and components
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Above average mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to read and follow instructions
  • Manual dexterity
